Frequently Asked Questions
What does Production Access Group do?
We design, sell, install, program and commission audio, video and lighting systems. Low voltage work only. We are not a rental house and we do not do residential.
Where do you work?
Orange County is home. We work across Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and San Diego counties, and we have built systems in Nevada.
Are you licensed?
Yes. California CSLB C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor, license #1080674.
Do you program Q-SYS in house?
Yes. Ben Frederick is Q-SYS Level 2 and Quantum certified and Dante Level 3. He writes the code, so the person who built your system is the person who answers when you call. Crestron work runs through our programming partners.
Will you work as a subcontractor to a general contractor?
Yes, and it is most of what we do. We come in at design, hand your electrician rough-in requirements while he can still act on them, show up to coordination meetings, and close out with as-builts.
What is your labor warranty?
Ninety days on PAG labor from the day the room is finished. Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty, which runs longer.
Can I buy equipment without installation?
Yes, we sell equipment and build racks, panels and road cases. Most clients buy the install with it, because the system that gets commissioned is the one that works.
Do you sell to public agencies?
Yes. We hold a CMAS contract and work with school districts, cities and county agencies, including prevailing wage projects.
